Garuda is the mighty celestial eagle and the animal mount (Vahana) of Vishnu, symbolizing speed, power, and divine protection.
- He is the son of Sage Kashyap and Vinata, making him the king of birds. His brother is Aruna, the charioteer of the Sun God, Surya.
