Rahu is the divine personification of the Northern Lunar Node, depicted as the head without a body of an Asura (demon). According to Hindu mythology, Rahu is a demon whose head was cut off by Vishnu after he drank Amrit (elixir of life) while disguised as a Deva (demi-god).
- Rahu is part of the Navagraha (nine celestial bodies) in the Hindu system, and a strong Rahu position in a horoscope is associated with traits such as being a politician, a genius, and acquiring wealth.
- The Rahu Yantra is contained within a Bhupur (a square with four T-shaped doors), which allows access to its divine energy.

Inside the Bhupur, there are eight lotus petals, representing the eight elements of the world:
-Space, air, fire, water, earth, mind, intellect, and ego. - The Yantra is red, a hot color that symbolizes strength and positivity. The six-pointed star inside the circle of petals, formed by upward and downward triangles, represents the union of male and female energy, symbolizing a balanced geometry.
